I have "piddled" with making jewelry and bags for many years and I
kept dreaming of doing it more often. I especially dreamed of selling my
"stuff", mostly so I could clear out some inventory and then shop for
more!
Other than selling at the occasional craft
fair/flea market, I never got around to getting serious about it. There
were a number of reasons including the fact that I worked over 40 hrs a
week for over a year, but the biggest one is probably my lack of
organization.
Enter the lemon: I got laid off and it's
seems that the job market isn't getting any friendlier despite what the
politicians say. Time and more time to craft. And incentive to conquer
hurdle #2... organization and time management. When those 40+hr checks
stop coming in, it's hard to justify a little thrift store trip to buy
more vintage fabrics and broken jewelry. Not when I have more than I
have room for already.
But... If I make some stuff, I
clear room for more "supplies". And if I sell some of the "stuff" I
made... then I can buy more! LEMONADE!!
So I finally opened an Etsy store and got a Facebook page. I "officially" have a business.

The inspiration behind the name and behind all the crafting I do : My grandma Alice.

Now I just have to figure out how to get them seen and to stock it up.
There's that pesky time management thing again.
Wish me luck!
